version 5.0

FAQ

The newest version of Run Trainer (version 5.0) is completely re-created from the ground to enable support for future devices like the Apple Watch. Due to this great update, some users may have issues regarding the following topics.

The app isn’t tracking my distance?
My training plan is unlocked and wants me to buy it again?

The app isn’t tracking my distance

If you are new to Run Trainer or updated the app, the location service might be turned off for your device, which means you don’t get tracked during your run.
To fix this, follow these steps:

  • 1) Go to your iPhone settings
  • 2) Go to Privacy
  • 3) Location Services (this might be on or off)
If location services is off, swipe the off switch to on.
  • 4) Check if Run Trainer is turned on to ’always’ or ‘while using the app’. We strongly recommend using the ‘always’ option as other apps might conflict when ‘while using the app’ is selected.

If you have any questions regarding this issue, please contact us.

My training plan is unlocked and wants me to buy it again.

Run Trainer comes with build in training plans that you only have to unlock once. If you already bought the training plans you don’t have to buy them again. If your training plan isn’t unlocked and you are sure you bought the training plan you can re-activate them by ‘buying’ them again for free.

Apple doesn’t check first if you already bought the training plan. If you buy it, log in with the correct Apple ID (where you bought the training plan with) you will get a message after logging in you already bought the product and it’s free.
